Multi-questing: on live, all quests (due to how they were implemented) could be "multi-quested", whereby any number of different players could hand in items for a multi-component quest turnin, and only the player handing in the last required item would receive the reward. Quests are implemented differently in EQEmu and in general this is not possible. On p1999 certain quests have explicitly had this mechanic enabled. The complete list is:

Revision as of 06:02, 5 January 2012

Note: This page is a list of non-classic aspects of Everquest that do not exist on p1999.

There are always questions as to whether or not some particular quest, item, aspect of gameplay, etc. either:

  1. currently exist on Project 1999
  2. will exist on Project 1999 at some point in the future
  3. were released post-Luclin launch and so will never exist on Project 1999

This list is mainly an attempt at a comprehensive listing of the later.

Quests

Not classic

  • Qeynos Badge of Nobility (4th) ref

Newbie armor quests in cities such as: ref

  • Kelethin Bard (Tranquilsong) Armor
  • Rivervale Druid (Moss Toe) Armor
  • ...

Epic Quests

The original epic ("1.0") quests were often changed later, and so guides you might find elsewhere will not be accurate to p99. The epic quest guides on this wiki will be true to classic. This is a list noting the major differences between the classic epic quests and their revamped versions, where applicable.

  • Trakanon cannot be spawned via Undead Bard

Cleric

  • Faydedar cannot be spawned on its own, must kill the normal dragon
  • Venril Sathir cannot be spawned via its remains, must kill him normally

  • Not able to swim through The Hole door crack in Paineel, unless a smaller race.

Multi-questable Quests

Multi-questing: on live, all quests (due to how they were implemented) could be "multi-quested", whereby any number of different players could hand in items for a multi-component quest turnin, and only the player handing in the last required item would receive the reward. Quests are implemented differently in EQEmu and in general this is not possible. On p1999 certain quests have explicitly had this mechanic enabled. The complete list is:

  • All the class epic quests were designed to be MQable. (need ref/details)

Game Mechanics

  • Summoned pets cannot dual wield without weapons, regardless of level.
  • restore full DoT damage to moving (non-feared) mobs occured during Velious?
  • questions about damage tables? ref
