The entry stating the the XP calculator from the wayback machine link is post-"smoothing" does not seem to be correct. While the link itself is from that era, you can move backwards to mid-Velious and the Hell Level modifiers are the same, which is to say that they are quite different than what is presented here on this page. Some limited testing I did seems to confirm that the numbers on the link are correct while the numbers here are not (on Green).
