To get logging and screenshots to work, I had to go to eqgame.exe Properties --> Compatibility --> Change Settings for All Users --> Run this program in compatibility mode for: 'Windows 98 / Me'.[1]
Performance
If you experience crashing while logging into the server or zoning, you may need to make two changes.
- Browse to your EQ game directory, typically c:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\.
- Right click eqgame.exe > Properties > Compatibility.
- Under Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2).
- Under Settings check *Run this program as an administrator.
- Click OK to save.
