This quest is closely related to the [[Winds of Karana]] quest. In that quest, the normal route is to kill [[a hermit]], but it's also possible to complete two quests for the hermit instead. In completion of these quests, it's reported that the leader of Unkempt Druids, [[Jale Phlintoes]] can be made to spawn, but that spawn mechanic does not seem to be implemented on P99. Hail the hermit inside the hut in the southern part of South Karana. He will give you a quest to kill Linaya Sowlin in Western Karana. She drops "a human heart". Give this heart to the Hermit and he will give you the flute and/or the page needed for the Winds of Karana quest below. He also says our business is done, unless you are interested in joining the unkempt druids. If you tell him you wish to become an Unkempt Druid, or you wish to join the Unkempt Druids, he will say, "Excellent! Wait here, Master Jale Phlintoes will be here shortly".

However, at indifferent faction, I was unable to find the correct response to spawn Jale. This could be a faction requirement, or I simply didn't guess the right phrase. Some phrases I attempted were:
