In P99 Night is from 9pm to 7am game time and an in-game hour is approximately 3 minutes.  This means if you kill the AC PH at 11am game time, it will spawn 10 in-game hours later (9pm).  If no AC pops, the PH should be killed immediately, allowing the AC another chance to pop at 7am game-time.

There is a 10% chance of the AC spawning as long as the spawn comes at night. With correct timing, there is a 19% chance per day ''(~72 min)'' of seeing an Ancient Cyclops.

Because the PH is actually a little over 30minutes long, it's best to kill it early within the 11am game-hour rather than waiting. If the PH is a Sand Giant then it would be a good idea to get it down to low hit points at 10am and then kite/root it until 11am and then finish it off.

P99 spawn cycles

There is a hill just North of the Undead Tower, on the East side of the desert (pos85, neg130). From this spot you can observe three mobs that all spawn on the same spot and path in the exact same pattern. They go north a ways, pause, then return to their spawn point. These three mobs are on different respawn timers: 6 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30.6 minutes.

The three spawns share some similar NPCs, all three can spawn a sand giants, but they also have unique spawns.

There is a 10% chance of the AC spawning as long as the spawn comes at night. With correct timing, there is a 19% chance per day (~72 min) of seeing an Ancient Cyclops.

Nighttime is from 9 PM to 7 AM game /time (and an in-game hour is approximately 3 minutes). This means if you kill the AC PH at 11 AM GT, it will spawn 10 in-game hours later (9 PM). If no AC pops, the PH should be killed immediately, allowing the AC another chance to pop at 7 AM GT.

Because the PH is actually a little over 30 minutes long, it's best to kill it early within the 11 AM hour rather than waiting. If the PH is a Sand Giant then it would be a good idea to get it down to low hit points at 10 AM and then kite/root it until exactly 11 AM and then finish it off.

A little simplification: after figuring out which one is the 30 minute respawn, kill it promptly at 9 PM, and when a PH spawns at 7 AM, wait until 11 AM to kill it.
