Walkthrough
Useless Cloth Cap are sometimes dropped by a kobold scout.
Take these caps to the two skeleton miners or the abandoned heretic pet at the entrance to Paineel.
The Abandoned Heretic's Pet wanders a path from the Bridge to the Porch at Paineel and then checks in and chastises his slaves for not working hard enough and then repeats his trip, but the two in the tunnel stay put and can always be found in the same place.
Giving 1 cap to the abandoned heretic's pet, or to the skeleton on the LEFT as you face the Paineel zone line yields
a skeleton says, 'Good work, you should be running this operation instead of that Talrigar fellow. Have a small reward. A little bit of the gems I found while tunneling through this rock.'
You receive xp and a random gem.
Giving a cap to the skeleton on the RIGHT as you face the Paineel zone line yields
a skeleton says, 'Aye... You cut out the middleman.. I shall reward you... hmmm... I have not found anything, how about.. <CRACK!! SNAP!! RIPP!!> How about something off meself?'
You receive xp and one of the other rewards listed - zombie skin, fractured femur, bone shield.
Note: This quest does not affect any faction, and can be completed at dubious faction.
