this set of gear is supposed to represent the best combination of items for a high-elf enchanter that spent starting points like 25int 5cha. 25int obviously the wrong choice in velious era
Shield of the Magi + GRM = +79mr
white dragon helm actually adds additional 20mr from worn effect, which stacks with GRM, so that plus the 79 self buffed adds 99 to base stats
Overwhelming splendor +50cha
so this set of gear puts me MAX cha and MR self-buffed
my recommendation for min max is high elf 25cha 5sta....
The difference between this set of gear and what I believe min/max set for an enchanter that spent points properly is amulet of the dreadgazer instead of first brood talisman also epic instead of staff of the silent star .......these choices are really only correct when charming or lulling and the haste effect from staff is really useful while charming or in a raid...
Amulet of the Dreadgazer would be an extra 25hp, 25 mana, an extra 3 to all resists and the effect truesight (which is super useful when trying to figure out which rogues are in camp)
Staff of the Silent Star would be an extra 35hp and 40 mana
5 extra starting points of stamina = 12hp at 60
so its like one sweet piece of gear with truesight, 72hp, 65mana and +3 to all resists that you miss out on by spending points wrong in this unrealistic min/max situation
not caring about mana so much maybe cloak of confuion + amulet of the dreadgazer + wurm lord shawl but that leaves me at 203cha , so would need shaman buff or swap gear to go max cha
