Everquest has a system of Time with day and night cycles. The time of day affects many things, most notably certain NPCs pathing or Spawns based around in game time.
There are also days, months, and year increments.
Time Scale examples

- 6 Earth seconds = 1 EverQuest game "tick"
- 1 Earth minute = 20 Everquest game minutes
- 3 minutes = 1 game hour
- 72 minutes = 1 game day
- 1 real day = 20 game days
Day and Night
Classic night begins at 6 PM. Classic daytime begins at 6 AM.[1]
A non-Classic day/night cycle occurred at 8 AM / 8 PM.
