To get logging and screenshots to work, I had to go to eqgame.exe Properties --> Compatibility --> Change Settings for All Users --> Run this program in compatibility mode for: 'Windows 98 / Me'.[1]

Performance

If you experience crashing while logging into the server or zoning, you may need to make two changes.

  1. Browse to your EQ game directory, typically c:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\.
  2. Right click eqgame.exe > Properties > Compatibility.
  3. Under Run this program in compatibility mode for and select Windows XP (Service Pack 2).
  4. Under Settings check *Run this program as an administrator.
  5. Click OK to save.
