Sales Price
We really should work in a section for the merchants buy back price of items... i think something with a minimum buy back and maximum by back price would be nice..

and maybe a link to a description of how npc merchants work... ie greedy merchants / standard merchants.

Doesn't have to be 100% accurate because there are numerous factors that affect resale price (People can update it as they have different experiences).. but as long as people know a range of what stuff sells for.. they will be able to make smarter choices of what to discard and what to keep. Jado818 07:22, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Still think this is a good idea. Shouldn't have to search other websites for information pertaining to P99 imo. Should be a one stop shop here. Jado818 06:40, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

: There is an explanation of CHA and pricing under Game Mechanics. Prices for all items sold by a merchant are already listed on the merchant pages. They could be added to the individual item pages I suppose? --Ravhin 15:27, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Yep thats what im suggesting. I do know that prices vary depending on factors such as CHR and type of merchant...

I think having a line somewhere on an items page where it has a low, high , average sales price (what you would get if you sold to a merchant) would give people some idea what to expect w/o having to click off an item page to a merchant page.

It doesn't have to be super large maybe take up a line or two.

Besides not all items you find are sold by a merchant anyways.

I see that there is code for the sales price on individual merchant pages.. but it doesn't display on my computer.. I have to edit the merchant page to see the estimated price.. not sure if thats just something on my end or not.

Like the new tradeskill format.
Looks really good and the little image icons really help mage the pages look better.

small note on water flasks though... summoned water flasks won't work in tradeskill recipes like on

Skinning Knife.. maybe update template to say all but summoned or just removed the summoned line? Jado818 22:01, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

Multiple Monster With Same Names
I put up some thoughts of what a page for this situation could look like

here is an example on A Goblin Whelp page.... it could probably use some more polish but i think thats a good starting point. Jado818 02:20, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Tradeskill Stat Discussion
I'm not sure if this information is classic or not.

But here is a link to how player stat's affect the various tradeskills.

I would like to integrate some of this information into the wiki tradeskill sections if its classic.

Vandalism Template
I doubt we will be able to catch all acts of vandalism.

I made a template so people can tag articles if they find them.

can give it a look over and put your thoughts on it.

Template:Vandalism

Drop Rates
A lot of the drop rates on the wiki are entirely inaccurate or just guesstimates that don't reflect the reality in game.

I made a template so people can add drop rates into the articles as they get them.

If the sample size is below 100 kills a percentage will not appear and just ??? will show up so people known its not very accurate.

If the sample size is below 500 kills a greyed out percentage will appear so people will know its semi accurate.

If the sample size is above 500 the percentage will appear in black.

It may seem like a lot but on some more contested monsters or farmed monsters sample sizes can grow quickly.

This template may not be for every article but it certainly can be useful on popular monsters.

Here is an example i put on Xalgoz's article. I copied his loot over here.

<!-- PLEASE UPDATE THE DROP RATE FOR ALL ITEMS!!!!!!!! -->

<ul><li>                   0

</li><li>       0

</li><li> (First Drop)    6

</li><li> (Second Drop)    0

</li><li> Shrunken Iksar Skull Necklace    0

</li></ul>

Notice i made a part for a first and second drop. Because the Xalgozian Fang does not always drop however it can drop up to two sometimes. and if both drop slots were on one tally.. it could be over 100% and people would think it always drops.. which is not the case.

Named / Monster Template
I think the named / monster template should be updated so that images are of a uniform size and consistency.

Users can upload an image of any different dimensions and then the template would force it to one size

either with the built in thumb 200 X 200 or with a custom size.. maybe 400 X 400... idk can figure out what works best.

I've noticed that images and article layouts don't always appear the same on different size monitors / resolutions so some work could be done in that respect.

Jaggedpine Forest Related Articles.
I've been looking into the timeline of everquest a bit and I'm fairly sure Jaggedpine Forest wasn't released until Luclin.

I believe it was a bonus zone for luclin much like the warrens was a bonus zone for velious.

Not that I don't think it would be cool if Jaggedpine Forest was added to P99.

There is quite a bit of content on the wiki (over 200 articles) about Jaggedpine Forest that were created before I joined as an editor and I don't want to undo all that work without some confirmation of whether Jaggedpine Forest is intended to be implemented at some time or not.

Have you tried PMing Nilbog/Rogean to see if they might answer the question for you?  I know they (P99 devs in general) are sometimes hesitant to release information, but if you state its for the Wiki they might be a little more lenient.

I have not dove into JPF articles, but did you at least flag them for the future in the way the Velious articles are greyed out?

Player List on the Wiki

Can you add a link to the Player List from the main page? --BobSmith 16:40, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Done, and a little style change to Player List. Thanks for getting it together! Too bad all those forum replies (post-abandonment of the original forum thread) aren't included. --Ravhin 18:23, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Ravhin. I went through the forum thread and added all the players from Luclin. That was the server I was on. --BobSmith 18:58, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Rumzuck

Thanks to Ravhin for making some great changes to the p99 wiki! :)

Red99

I added a separate "community" section for red99 - for those things which are completely different than blue99 (e.g. guild lists). Anyone who plays on this server can comment more on what would be useful in terms of the wiki. --Ravhin 19:13, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

New Mainpage Links

Added mainpage link to Amax's Statistics page. Added mainpage link to joddfx's Poker Painting.

Added Non-Classic Compendium (work in progress). Also added link to Special:AuctionTracker. --Ravhin 19:13, 3 February 2012 (UTC)

User Interface Section

I was trying to update my UI the other day, specifically change DuxaUI's hotbar to use inventory slots with clickies instead of the default ranged/ammo slots in the bottom right, and I had to google the inventory slot numbers and names. I would like to add a section to the wiki about the UI files, but I have some hesitation due to:

1) It could get very large, very quickly

2) I do not plan on ever completely developing UI from scratch, so there is tons of information I never plan on learning or being able to add to the wiki.

3) I am not a huge contributor to the wiki, so I am a bit unfamiliar with best-practices when creating this section. Basically, should it be a single long page? Should I split it up into sections? How should I split it up? Etc.

I also feel that should the UI section ever get comprehensive enough, it should be added to the important pages links on either the front page, the sidebar, or both.

TL;DR: A UI section could be amazing, but there is just no way I'll be able to do all of it the way I feel it should/could be done.
