Description

The boss of island four. Spawns 30-96 minutes (need verification) after the first griffon/horse mob is slain. May 2017: first mob killed at 20:57:21, keeper spawned at 23:13:43. Total time: 133 minutes? Math? Add it up yourself. I'm going to bed.

Belated March 2018 info fixing: The spawn mechanic for Keeper of Souls appears to have a special catch, going by old Allakhazam posts, that isn't listed anywhere here on the wiki. There's a semi-hidden NPC named Nottap Ekim (only visible on track) that determines the Keeper of Souls' spawning. Nottap is supposed to spawn when any mob on the 4th island is killed, at which point a despawn timer for Nottap will begin to tick down; when that timer finishes the Keeper of Souls' spawn timer will truly begin. But that doesn't appear to be the case on P99. When facing the front entrance of the island 4 windmill, the trigger mob will be the griffon a Soul Carrier on your left. Kill them, then check for Nottap.

When pulling mobs back to earlier islands to start Keeper's timer early make sure you have a tracker peep their track list for Nottap. Once Nottap appears on track the despawn/KoS timer will be active and you can begin clearing through Sky as normal. See: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=20205
