Raid History
This page is an attempt to document the history of raiding on Project 1999.
IMPORTANT: This is not a place for "rants or flames"; it is meant to contain objective information only.
TODO: This page is just a very rough start, and needs lots of detail. Also because the history of guilds is a touch subject, it needs lots of references (forum links, reddit links, etc.) to back as much as possible of what it says up.

Eras
Raiding on Project 1999 has gone through different eras, based on two main factors: the fortunes of certain "uber guilds", and rules changes made by the staff.
Project 1999 Start (? - ?)
When the project first started of course there was no raid scene at all. Soon after though raid guilds started to form. TODO: More needed about early raiding
Kunark/The Mystic Order Era (? - ?)
During this era, prior to Velious release, raiding was dominated by a single guild known as The Mystic Order or TMO. While other guilds did raid, they had a difficult time reaching the highest content (eg. Veeshan's Peak) because it was to a certain extent monopolized by The Mystic Order.
TODO: How/when did TMO take over? was there a separate "post-TMO, pre-Velious" era worth mentioning?
Class C/Class R
This led (TODO: details needed) to the creation of Project 1999's only structured raiding, where TMO's descendents were organized into "Class R" and the rest of the guilds were in "Class C". TODO: Did I switch that? Mention sub-classes, player-created rotation, how system fell apart, etc.
Post-Class/ "AA"
For most of this era two guilds dominated the raiding end-game. At first these two were Aftermath and Awakened (later it became Aftermath and Tempest) so the term "AA" guilds was popularized.
Current "Rooted Dragons" Era
Likely as a result of the loss of GM Braknar (and resulting fallout), the staff instituted a new system by changing the in-game rules of Temple of Veeshan, so that the dragons would be rooted (despite this not having been done on live during the classic era).
