I try to do the right thing, but inevitably I will make some mistakes. Please feel free to correct me, and also feel free to tell me about it on my discussion page. I love learning, and also like learning about Everquest.

Gnome Magician on Green Server Guide (draft)
I recently started a Gnome Magician on the Green server. I loved a lot of the guides present here on the Project 1999 wiki. However, I found while leveling that there were plenty of things that were not mentioned, or perhaps were not realistic.
During the classic there are a lot of great places to gain experience. There are also a lot of great places to earn money. However, now that Project 1999 has been out for quite a while, a vast majority of players know where these camps are, and actively seek them out. The resulting competition is bad for everyone. It lowers everyones' experience, and plat per hour.
This guide is an attempt at avoiding these "congested highway lanes"; to instead take the roads less traveled - where you will rarely encounter competition. My belief is that the best way to gain experience is to gain it in a very consistent manner.
I will be focusing on alternatives that give decent experience, and platinum per hour.
As a note, I personally followed Afid's Leveling Guide. I would highly suggest following this guide where applicable.
Minotaur Caves Level 12-14
This is a very dangerous area to level, however, after examining this map, you'll see that maybe it isn't as dangerous as you thought. The Minotaur Lord roams exclusively in these caves. He is a level 30 Minotaur that will eat your face. With that being said, he does not see through invisibility, and has two separate roaming patterns. If you examine the picture to the left, you'll see that there is one red square, one red circle, and three black squares. The red circle is where the Minotaur Lord will stop, and the red circle is where he will roam to, turn back around, and start over again. He only goes from red square, to the red circle, and back again. This is the roaming pattern that you are looking for. If the Minotaur Lord does not have this particular pattern, then, sorry to say, you are screwed. You'll have to ask for the help of a high level to come kill the Minotaur Lord. From what I've seen, he swaps between the two types of roaming in a consecutive manner; if he's on the bad roaming pattern and someone kills him, he will always go to the good roaming pattern. The black squares are your targets - a minotaur slaver. Typically, you'll see someone camping the a minotaur slaver in the Northwest Corner of the map. I never saw anyone in the caves in the entire time I was there, it was free every single time, even during peak time. There are guards roaming the various halls, but they are easy to kill. Use your invisibility spell to get out of sight of the Minotaur Lord, then slowly make your way to the black dots. Eventually, after being there for a while, you'll find safe spots. Remember that invisibility gets rid of your pet, so what you can do is look around the corner to the red circle and watch for the Minotaur Lord. DO NOT MOVE UNTIL YOU SEE HIM! When he gets to the red circle and turns around, it will be several minutes at least until you see him again. You can use that time to go around the corner to the black square southwest of 2 on the map.
- NOTE 1: The enemies and your pet can go through the walls in this area! Save your mana, and blast them when they're low hp to minimize your risk!
