Player List on the Wiki

Can you add a link to the Player List from the main page? --BobSmith 16:40, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Done, and a little style change to Player List. Thanks for getting it together! Too bad all those forum replies (post-abandonment of the original forum thread) aren't included. --Ravhin 18:23, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Ravhin. I went through the forum thread and added all the players from Luclin. That was the server I was on. --BobSmith 18:58, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Rumzuck

Thanks to Ravhin for making some great changes to the p99 wiki! :)

Updating Format

Hey all I'm new to this wiki and don't mean to show up and cause drama... I do feel that the wiki could use some updates and improvements to the layout.

So over the next few weeks I hope to start a dialogue on different page types and formats. I'd like to discuss a simple page format today... an item / armor page.

I have 3 main concerns about the current item / armor page set up.

1: It lacks critical information

       * It lacks information on possible tradeskill recipes and which tradeskills an armor / weapon bit is used in
       * It lacks information on possible quests or key flags an armor/weapon could be used in
       * It lacks Merchant sale and resale values for armor / weapon
       * It lacks merchant locations and zone's

Solution: add more sections with this information... if the information is that there isn't any tradeskill recipe... that in of itself is useful also for instance.

2: It lacks a section set up and because of this it lacks a fast editing process.

*Most people who edit a wiki don't want to create an entire page... they want to update a drop rate, add a new
*vendor merchant to an armor/merchant bit, make a quick update to the maximum or minimum merchant sales price, or
*update the latest bazaar player sales information.

Solution: Add sections and make sure there is a button so people can edit / update just the section they are interested in... On larger pages some would be editors might be turned off by scrolling through hundreds of line of code.

3: The current set up has a bazaar / sales chart that overshadows the other important information.

*Seriously look at a page lol Small Bronze Helm it takes up 50% of the page.

Solution: adjust the position or size of the chart.

This is just a thought of what a page could look like... I'm not against having things changed or moved around .. sections added... any good wiki should be willing to update and grow or it just stagnates.

Lets discuss possible ways to improve the wiki and update the image a bit... or at the very least find a way to add more information to it.

I hope to be able to work with the people of the p99 wiki and thank you for reading my wall of text ;p. Jado818 23:55, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
