How I walked into Cabilis at level 29

Troll Warrior - Rallos Zek

Came to Field of Bone at level 18, farming spider silks. This graduated into starting the faction quest by killing forsaken iksar. From that point on, I would not intentionally kill any mob for experience which did not get me to my goal of increasing Cabilis faction.

Killed forsaken iksar in Field of Bone for a little while before migrating to WW. My fav place to kill forsaken iksar was Bandit Lake, and I was there from about 20 to mid-20s (the one manslayer gave me more than one level of xp). Then the troopers turned dubious.

When I started Trooper Mozo's Bone Chip quest, the Crusaders' faction started at scowling, and the outside vendors started at dubious. I was probably level 25 when I first started in Kurn's Tower. I was there until level 29 and was still getting xp, though only from an odd mole and about 1/4 of the lesser charbone skeletons. It was the bone chip turn-ins that gave me most of my xp during the bone chip farming, about 5% per 20 stacks at level 28.

Tips for Kurn's farming: I sold just about everything I looted (passing them to an iksar alt), and ran most of the coins that I collected to the OT outpost to deposit in the bank. I spent about 300p total on purchasing bone chips, and maybe 200p in maintenance and upkeep. In the end I have netted 1.7k plat in the bank just from farming bone chips in Kurn's (and some from the Field of Bone; aside from the mobs being more spread out, the drop rate for bone chips in FoB is abysmal compared to Kurn's Tower).

Also, the sooner you learn the keyboard-mouse trick for turning in the bone chips, the better.

The following numbers are +/- 1 or 2 stacks.

Between 369 - 389 stacks of bone chip turn-ins, both Bodi and Quarg turn threatening

Between 444 - 460 stacks of bone chip turn-ins, both Bodi and Quarg turn dubious

Between 444 - 460 stacks of bone chip turn-ins, crusaders and most vendors turn apprehensive

Between 585 - 592 stacks of bone chip turn-ins, crusaders and most vendors turn indifferent

Necros are still threatening, but I'm guessing I'm pretty close to dubious. I killed a lot more forsaken iksar (trooper and necro faction) than goblins/sarnaks (trooper faction only). It probably wouldn't take me long in the tunnel to LoIO to bump this up. From what I've read, the iksar manslayers and pariahs give +10 faction (and barely give xp at level 29).

I believe the half-dozen or so vendors in Cabilis West which are still dubious, also started out at dubious, as I did poke my head into Cabilis at one point (with invis potions) to check out factions and all vendor-types were dubious.
