Description
This Quest is very useful for raising Bloodsabers and several other Evil Qeynos factions because it is rapidly repeatable so long as you have the gold for it. There are very few other options to raise Bloodsabers and they mostly involve a much longer messenger quest, so this one is arguably the fastest. In addition to this, the only negative Faction hit is to Guard of Qeynos which is very easily and quickly repaired just by killing more gnolls and numerous other quests.
Walkthrough
- Step 1 - Go to a bank and exchange Platinum into as much Gold as you are willing to spend. Clear your bags and reduce your weight as much as possible. Request SoW and STR. Being encumbered for a long journey is still probably faster than making multiple trips to and from a bank in the Karanas.
Find Guard Shilster who is often standing in the NorthEast corner of Northern Plains of Karana at loc 1380, -2764 . Occasionally he will wander to the South Karana bridge and stand there for a few minutes and then go back.
You say, 'Hail, Guard Shilster'
Guard Shilster says, 'Hey hey! I have some Blackburrow Stout for sale. Just hand over five gold and I'll give you a bottle of it. Don't get caught though because it is considered [contraband]. [Antonius] don't like it being smuggled but what does he know, anyway?
You say 'Who is Antonius?'
Guard Shilster says, 'That man is as clueless as a froglok tad swimming in a keg of dwarven ale! He has no idea what is going on around him. He won't be around for much longer I wager.'
You say, 'Why is it considered contraband?'
Guard Shilster says, 'Well it's brewed by gnolls, ya know. Don't know exactly why it's considered contraband but I think it's because they use the money they get from the selling stout to buy arms. I dunno. I buy low and sell high. Blackburrow Stout is good for you though!. It does wonders for me! Now buy some already before someone hears us talking.'
