Walkthrough

Find Nomaria Doseniar located in the Qeynos Aqueducts at loc 347, -614 (Optional)

You say, 'Hail, Nomaria Doseniar' (even at Dubious she responded)

Nomaria Doseniar says 'Welcome! It is good to see our disciples can still outsmart the guards of Qeynos and make it to the Shrine of Bertoxxulous. Our ranks are best filled with disciples such as yourself. We have need of you. Do you [wish to serve] the Lord of Disease [or not]?'

You say, 'I wish to serve.'

Nomaria Doseniar says 'Aye! That is good. Of late, we have heard news of a message that will be sent to the Treefolk of the Jaggedpine. Antonius Bayle will send word to the Jaggedpine that certain requests will be met. We must intercept this message. That is all you need to know. Go and find Antonius Bayle's messenger, Gharin. He should have the message. Get it by any means necessary and return it to me. Go now!'

Find Gharin in South Qeynos hanging near the Bag n Barrel and sometimes wandering to his room on the third floor of the Lion's Mane Inn.

You say, 'Hail, Gharin'

Gharin says 'Good day! I see they have good stock for the future armies of Qeynos. I, myself, wish to be a soldier one day instead of doing this [job].'

You say, 'What job?'

Gharin says 'I am a [messenger] for Antonius Bayle. Not big enough to fight, but light enough to run all the way to the [Jaggedpine] tomorrow morning. I sort of wish I did not have to go. I'd rather be at the Lion's Mane.'

You say, 'What is Lion's Mane'

Gharin says 'Ahh. The Lion's Mane. If I were there, I would be enjoying a stein of Crow's [special brew]. They are expecting their first shipment of the brew. I believe if I had a few or more of those lagers, I would be very ill. I would probably have to have someone else deliver the note for me. Still, I wish I had one of those fine brews.'

Hand Gharin 4 Crows Special Brew to receive the letter.

Note: There are two kinds of Crow's Special Brew in the game. Crow's Special Brew with an ' Apostrophe in the name that comes from Tattered Pouch quest will not be accepted by Gharin.
The correct kind Crows Special Brew is purchased from Crow himself, it comes in a red flask with black lines on it, and is drinkable via clicking like other booze. However, this is a limited supply item (20). Once he sells out, its all gone until a server restart or respawned by killing him but he's somewhat tough to solo and will give you negative faction hits

Gharin says 'Oohhh! My head. Stop the pub from spinning. I cannot make it to the Jaggedpine feeling like this. Please take this note to Te'Anara of the Treefolk. Here is a little silver for the favor. Thanks. Ooohhhh..'

You gain experience!!

You receive A Sealed Letter

Return to Nomaria Doseniar and hand her the Sealed Letter

Nomaria Doseniar says 'Good work, child of the plague. Now take this forged note to Te'Anara of the Jaggedpine Treefolk. Be sure to watch your back, now. The guards of Qeynos surely know who you are by now. They will not stop to ask questions.'

You receive 8 silver
You receive: Sealed Letter [Note To Jaggedpine - fake] which reads: 

Te'Anara, I Regret to inform you that my city shall not impose the tax increase for bearskins as you requested.
 Furthermore, we shall not be arresting poachers for extradition to the Jaggedpine.
 Signed,
 Antonius Bayle

Go to Surefall Glade aka JaggedPine and find Te`Anara at loc -209, -441 to hand her the Sealed Letter (Optional)
Note: This step is no longer required to trigger Tovax Vmar who now spawns nightly, and will drop the next Sealed Letter randomly
It is not recommended to take these unnecessary negative druid faction hits unless you don't plan on repairing them

TeAnara says 'This is dreadful news. We have been nothing but kind neighbors to Qeynos. Now Antonius Bayle wishes to abuse our friendship. This will not sit well with the others. Begone, messenger!'

You gain experience!!

This leads into Plaguebringer Proof quest

Go to Qeynos Hills at loc and wait until 9PM Norrath time for Tovax Vmar to spawn. He then wanders to a few spots, stands there for a short time and randomly or rarely will drop the letter on the ground (looks like small bag)
This Escort part is challenging because he wanders across the newbie area past 2 potential Qeynos Gaurds and another NPC. He is very low level and will get killed immediately by any of them, not to mention real players. I suggest either killing the guards in Tovax's path or asking someone to kite them or root them far out of the way the entire night until until he drops it, as well as asking players in /ooc to avoid Tovax while you do the quest

(For me, I had to wait for Tovax to complete one of his pathing rotations and on the 2nd stop at the tree ( loc 200, -1000) at 4AM game time he dropped the Sealed Letter just before wandering off again)

If you don't pick up the note, it will despawn.

The note is called "A Sealed Letter" (identifies as "A Letter to Opal"). It reads: 

Opal-- Things are moving ahead on schedule. The sewer complex is complete and we have begun to gather forces.
We are concerned about the Lifers' interference. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
