Spawning
Kill the PH every 6 minutes or so til you get either this version of Lord Grimrot (alive) or the Lord Grimrot (undead) version. Currently its uncertain if he will only spawn during a certain time of day on Project 1999 server, but I've been keeping track of when he has spawned for me and so far its pretty close to what is listed on Illia's Everquest Beastiary site. I'll quote a comment from Lord Grimrots section on there.
"To spawn the Live version kill the a putrid skeleton between 5 and 8 pm game time, then set a timer for 3 hours. For the Undead version, kill the placeholder between 5 and 8 am game time, and set the timer for 3 hours."
Now I have seen the undead version spawn after I killed the putrid skeleton between 5pm and 8pm; 2 of the 3 times in fact. The one time I saw the Live version spawn was after a kill between 5pm and 8pm. I only seen undead spawn after killing the PH in the 5am to 8am window. I have yet to see a Grimrot spawn in any other time window. Not saying thats he wont spawn any time of day but I have yet to see that. I get a kill in at 5am or 5pm, then another spawn I kill at 7am or 7pm. Its always been either the 7"am/pm" spawn or the 9"am/pm" spawn that has been a Grimrot. If that makes any sense, if anyone does spot him spawning at another time please remove all this crap. On the right is a screen cap I found on the forums showing his exact spawn location in the undead camp near the NK bridge in SK. You only need to keep that PH clear to spawn him.
