Hail the hermit inside the hut in the southern part of South Karana. He will give you a quest to kill Linaya Sowlin in Western Karana. She drops a human heart.
Give this heart to the Hermit and he will give you the flute and/or the page needed for the Winds of Karana quest. He also says our business is done, unless you are interested in joining the unkempt druids.
If you tell him you wish to become an Unkempt Druid, or you wish to join the Unkempt Druids, he will say, "Excellent! Wait here, Master Jale Phlintoes will be here shortly".
Jale Phlintoes spawns nearby. You can track him down. What happens from here is not known.
