Welcome
Welcome to Kelethin, home of the Fier`Dal and their half-human offspring. Despite being a winding warren of platforms and long drops, many players call Kelethin home. The surrounding Greater Faydark is a great hunting ground for newbies with no loading screens, while the nearby fortress of Crushbone is an essential stop on the XP highway for low-level characters.
Kelethin
Starting Location
The starting location is about 100,100 - you will start on a hill near the middle lift. Looking around, you should be able to see the Priest of Discord next to a lift.
Guilds (Starting Quests)
Bard (Map #14)
New bards should take a tattered note to Sylia Windlehands in the Bards' Guild. From the start position, you should be able to see the Priest of Discord and a lift beside him. Take this lift up, walk across the bridge to your left at the top and then enter the building to your right once you reach platform #14.
Druid (Map #21)
New druids need to take a tattered note to the Heartwood Master in the Druids' Guild. From the start position, you should be able to see the Priest of Discord and a lift beside him. Take this lift up, then go straight ahead and around the tree. After crossing the bridge, there should be a ramp which travels up to platform #12 with the bank. Go past the bank and up another ramp to platform #13. From there, take the ramp on the right; you should be able to see the Ranger Guild, Faydark's Champions, on platform #16 from here. Take the ramp slightly to your right (opposite the ranger guild) to find the Soldiers of Tunare, your guild, on platform #21.
Ranger (Map #16)
New rangers need to take a tattered note to Maesyn Trueshot in the Rangers' Guild.
Rogue (Map #23)
Rogues have perhaps the hardest guild to find, as befits a more secretive class. You will need to take a tattered note to Tylfon. From the start position, you should be able to see the Priest of Discord and a lift beside him. Take this lift up, walk across the bridge to your left at the top and then keep running across the next bridge to platform #15. Take the second right (the bridge, not the ramp) to platform #18. Follow the bridge on your left and continue up ramps and across bridges until you find the Rogue's Guild on the final platform, platform #23. On your way back, you can jump off the left-hand side of the bridge to jump down onto platform #19 as a shortcut. This may cause a little damage, so it is very good for levelling up Safe Fall once you gain this skill.
Warrior (Map #8)
New warriors should take their Recruitment Letter to Regren in the Warriors' Guild. From the start position, you should be able to see the Priest of Discord and a lift beside him. Take this lift up, walk across the bridge to your right at the top and then enter the building to your right once you reach platform #8.

There are three lifts from Greater Faydark into Kelethin.

Where/What to Hunt
Leaving Kelethin via the southern two lifts, you can safely run in a straight line away from the platform into the newbie area (#2 on Greater Faydark map). You should see wolves, spiders, skeletons, bats and wasps. Avoid the orcs at first, but most things should be either safe for or indifferent to newbies.
You can also head south (turn right off the lifts) and follow the path to Felwithe to hunt in the High Elf newbie area. If you can find a ranger or druid willing cast Spirit of Wolf, you can run to Felwithe and back to Kelethin to complete the Going Postal (Felwithe to Kelethin) quest. This is popular with bards once they gain Selo's Accelerando at level 5.
Dangers
The main danger is wandering orcs. In the newbie area, you may see an orc pawn or two. As you head south, other orcs can appear. If you travel south from Kelethin to Felwithe, there are often orcs near the road.
