If you combine Rod Segment 'I' and Rod Segment 'II' (found in the dungeon) with the Forge Hammer of Dalnir (dropped by the Undead Blacksmith who can be found in the room w/ 3 decapitated Iksar statues on the same floor as the chapel) in the Always Works forge, you will get the Long Iron Rod.
