Shaman Epic note: coming from Freeport, if you jump off the boat when you see his island (around -150, -5250,) you can kill him, and the Dark Elf who will join, and still swim over to the Island of the Sisters of Erollisi, to catch the boat coming from the east, from Butcherblock.  Levitate will serve you well.  Binding yourself in Freeport before you leave will serve you even better.
