You say, 'Hail, Noxhil V`Sek'
Noxhil V`Sek says, 'Greetings, Playername! We of the Dead are proud to have you among us. Your lineage is well known. Still, you must learn to claw your way to the upper echelon. There are many [menial tasks] to be performed before you can truly be inducted as a member.'
After completing the Fire Beetle Eyes quest:
Noxhil V`Sek says, 'Fantastic work, my child! We shall store these for further experiments. Take this as extra payment for a fine job. You have done so well I believe you can assist in obtaining two [other components].'
You say, 'what other components?' Noxhil V`Sek says, 'Take this chest. This one must be filled with Kerra Isle Beetle eyes. Before you return the filled chest to me, be sure to also return with a wooly mammoth tusk. Be quick about it....'
You receive an Empty Chest.
Wooly Mammoths are found in Everfrost and the Kerran Beetle Eyes are found in Erud's Crossing, so you will have to do some hiking to get him his stuff.
Seems this quest is broken on Green, tried to combine the Kerran Beetle Eyes in the Empty Box, and got the message "these items cannot be combined in this container type". Seems it was also an issue on Blue, but was later fixed. 6/24/2020.
Also, Bull Elephants, which are found in South Karana, do occasionally drop mammoth tusks as well (who knows why).
When you give him the Mammoth tusk and the combined box of Kerra Island beetle eyes, you will get some experience and a reward. I received level 12 necro spells each of the three times I did the quest.
He then tells you that you seem to be of sufficient level to assist [The Dead]
After some research, the end of the quest line involving "assisting The Dead" was not implemented until the Call of the Forsaken expansion.
