Disciplines

Melee and hybrid classes receive unique abilities called disciplines starting in Kunark. Each class receives some common disciplines as well as unique abilities. Disciplines act as a kind of special state that, once activated, only last for a certain time.

Pure Melee

Monk

  • RESISTANT (Level 30): +3 to all resistances increasing to +10 at 50th level. This discipline lasts for 1 minute, and has a base reuse time of 1 hour. The reuse time for this discipline will decrease as you level. (Velious)
  • FEARLESS (Level 40): Immunity to "Fear" and all spells that cause "fear". This discipline lasts for 11 seconds, and has a base reuse time of 1 hour. The reuse time for this discipline will decrease as you level. (Velious)

Hundred Fists Discipline 57 Increases your hands speed, allowing you an increased attack rate and damage. Timer 2 15 Sec 30 Min
Silentfist Discipline 59 Focuses your rage into your hands, allowing you to perform an especially powerful dragon punch. Timer 3 Next Attack 9 Min
Ashenhand Discipline 60 Focuses energy into your hands, allowing you to perform an especially powerful eagle strike. Timer 3 Next Attack 72 Min

Rogue

Duelist Discipline 59 Increase the damage done by all of your melee attacks. Timer 2 12 Sec 30 Min

Warrior

Defensive Discipline 55 Places you in a defensive combat stance that causes you to take less damage, but also lowers your damage output. Timer 1 3 Min 15 Min
Furious Discipline 56 Allows you to perfectly time your counter attacks, riposting every incoming blow. Timer 2 9 Sec 60 Min
Precision Discipline 57 Places you in a precise combat stance that increases your hit rate, but also lowers your chance of avoiding attacks. Timer 3 3 Min 30 Min
Felstrike Discipline 58 Fills you with acute rage, increasing the damage done by your attacks. Timer 3 12 Sec 30 Min
Fortitude Discipline 59 Heightens your combat reflexes, increasing your chance of evading attacks Timer 2 8 Sec 60 Min
Aggressive Discipline 60 Places you in an aggressive combat stance that increases your damage output, but also causes you to take more damage. Timer 3 3 Min 27 Min

Hybrids

All hybrid disciplines were made available in Velious.

General Hybrid Disciplines

All hybrids (Bards, Paladins, Rangers and Shadowknights) have access to the following disciplines.

  • RESISTANT (Level 51): +10 to all resistances. This discipline lasts for 1 minute, and has a base reuse time of 1 hour. The reuse time for this discipline will decrease as you level.
  • FEARLESS (Level 54): Immunity to "Fear" and all spells that cause "fear". This discipline lasts for 11 seconds, and has a base reuse time of 1 hour. The reuse time for this discipline will decrease as you level.

Bard

  • DEFTDANCE (Level 55): Auto dodge and auto dual-wield. This discipline lasts for 10 seconds, and has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.
  • PURETONE (Level 60): Makes it as if you are wielding the best instrument of every type, whether or not you are actually wielding an instrument. This discipline lasts for 2 minutes, and has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.

Paladin

  • HOLYFORGE (Level 55): Critical Hits and Crippling Blows versus undead with an increased probability of going off. This discipline lasts for 2 minutes, and has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.
  • SANCTIFICATION (Level 60): Immunity to most types of harmful spells. This discipline lasts for 10 seconds, and has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.

Ranger

  • TRUESHOT (Level 55): Max to two times max bow damage with an increased hit probability. This discipline lasts for 2 minutes, and has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.
  • WEAPONSHIELD (Level 60): Parry all melee attacks. This discipline lasts for 15 seconds, and has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.

Shadow Knight

  • UNHOLYAURA (Level 55): 25% increase to damage done by Harmtouch in addition to making it nearly un-resistable. This discipline has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.
  • LEECHCURSE (Level 60): Heal self for every point of melee damage dealt while discipline is active. This discipline lasts for 15 seconds, and has a base reuse time of 72 minutes.
