Who is it For?

The first floor of the Tower of Frozen Shadow is an excellent hunting spot for characters of level 27-33 (or even 34, although some mobs start turning "light blue" as early as 33).

For one thing, the zone has an excellent Zone Experience Modifier, so all characters level faster, but also the zone is particularly popular with Clerics, Necromancers, and Paladins. All three classes have agro-reducing spells (eg. Pacify or Rest the Dead), which lets them pull individuals from rooms with 2-3 mobs. Also, all three have anti-undead spells (eg. Dismiss Undead) (as do Shadow Knights, although they lack Rest the Dead at this level).

In addition to exclusively having undead (except for the boss's pet), the zone is also known to have a high Zone Experience Modifier.

Entrance

You first arrive in TofS through a magic mirror. Proceeding from there, you will enter a room with a large pit in the middle. To explore safely, cast Invisibility versus Undead first.

If you want, the entrance room makes for a safe pull area. However, mobs can easily flee from this area into the pit, so if you lack a snare ability, you might want to engage them in their respective hallways.

Pit Room

First off, be careful: the floor around the pit is "icy", and it's easy to slip into the pit itself if you're moving too quickly. Inside the pit are two Shadowbone skeletons, and getting out of the pit (through a narrow rock "staircase") will likely be a challenge the first time, so it's best to avoid sliding in.

Ahead are two Lesser Ice Shades, which will bee too high initially, but can be killed at level 31 or 32. Until then, you'll likely want to avoid this room.

To the left (as you enter) is a hallway leading to Shadowbone skeletons. To the right is a hallway leading to Shadow Beasts.
