While EverQuest has many factions, only a much smaller number actually give some meaningful in-game benefit (beyond simply affecting which mobs attack you). This category distinguishes those factions.

Faction Summaries
Faydwer Cities
Faydwer only has two main cities, Erudin (High Guard of Erudin) and Paineel (Heretics). Both of these factions can be raised by killing kobolds in The Warrens.
Velious Class Armor Factions
All of these factions can be used to get Velious Class Armor, and all can be raised by killing members of one of the other two factions.
