Description
A docile aquatic animal and important source of food for humans, kerrans, erudites, halflings, elves, othmir, trolls, dwarves, iksar, gnomes, and other races.
Players may catch Fresh Fish by using the Fishing skill, though this skill does not interact with fish NPCs in any way. Fish Scales are used by priests and casters to cast Enduring Breath to swim without need of air such as fish do.
Sailfins of Kedge Keep may explode and deal heavy damage if killed.
Lore
Followers of Rodcet Nife in Qeynos believe that the Prime Healer occaisonally visits Norrath in the form of Koalindl Fish, which were from the Plane of Health.
The Temple of Marr and Hall of Truth have ponds and moats inhabited by minnows that seem to be similarly revered or at least well-liked by these pious humans.
Gnomes catch fish for food and sport, and have invented the Collapsible Fishing Pole and Animated Bait to assist in these pursuits.
