Details

Debuffing is an important aspect of everquest. It will make your adventure easier and safer.

Some examples

Debuffing a mob's magic resistance will make them less resistant to magic based spells, such as enchanter's charm or magic based damage spells.
Debuffing a mob's AC will increase on average the melee damage it takes.
Debuffing a mob's STR will decrease on average the melee damage it does.
Debuffing a mob's Attack Speed will essentially reduce it's melee damage by that #% by making it swing slower.

Fire

Magic

Magic Resist reduction is important for charms or magic based spells in general.

Poison

Poison Resist reduction is important for poison based spells in general. Improves chance to land things like poison based Dots.

Other Debuffs

AC

Armour Class this will let melee hit harder on average.

Atk

General reduction of attack damage.

Attack Speed

Slow is one of the most overpower spells in EverQuest. Essentially reduces melee damage output by that %.

Movement Speed

Snares and the like reduce movement speed. This can be useful for fleeing mobs or any mobile you want to keep their movement speed down on. For example you can snare a charm before you charm it. Or in the bards case Snaring a whole pack on mobs.

DoT Counters

Disease

Helps keep disease on the target.

Poison

Helps keep poison on the target.

Debuff Stacking

The table below indicates which spells stack with the other spells. All spells were added to make chart easier to see, so spells that debuff ac only, and spells that debuff str only would always stack.
